Hi, friend! Welcome! I'm so glad you're here!

I've been blogging for almost 10 years, and this little space has evolved and changed and grown right along with me.

My story so far has been a slow, ever-unfolding lesson and adventure of surrender.

The longer I follow God, the more I realize that the plans I make pale in comparison to the plan He has, and that even when life looks completely different than I expected, He's still guiding, still refining, still taking me exactly where I'm meant to be.

My story looks different than I expected in many ways, and while I can't predict what my future holds, I do know God has a purpose behind every season. And in the midst of the unknown and the now and not-yet, He's teaching me how to live with a surrendered heart and an expectant faith.

I believe that when we're confident in who He is and the plans He has, we can live fully and freely for Him.

And that's exactly how I want to live. My heart is to know Him more, trust Him more, and live this life to the very fullest for Him and His glory.

And I'd like to invite you to join me on that adventure.

ABOUT A PLACE TO DWELL

When I first started A Place to Dwell way back in 2008, I chose the name based on one of my favorite quotations: "I dwell in possibility." The name represented a hopeful new beginning, as I explored my newfound faith and sought to grow and learn as a creative writer. As the blog has evolved and changed with me over the years, the name has come to mean even more. The Hebrew word for "dwell" is "yashabh," which translates to "sit," "abide," "inhabit," and "remain." I love the connection to "abide," and I hope and pray that this space will be an invitation to you to get to know God on a deeper level and to truly abide in His presence.

ABOUT ME

I'm a magazine journalist turned greeting card creator who loves lattes, possibilities, and encouraging others to live lives of expectant faith.

God continues to teach me that His plan is always, always better than mine and that the good stuff, the growing stuff, is often found in the unexpected chapters we find ourselves in.

I’m passionate about creating content that encourages, inspires, and motivates women to love the story God is writing in their lives and live it fully for Him.
